age related thinning

How to reduce age related hair thinning? My mother became very sparse & semi bald. I'm 10 years post the menopause & have thinning in the front of my hair. I'm not on HRT because I don't need it. The thinning is not really a problem now, but I don't want to be semi bald in 10 years time

Re: age related thinning

Thank you for your question. It would be helpful to make sure that you are not iron deficient (your ferritin should be 70mcg/L or higher). Also check thyroid function blood test time to time.

I hope this is helpful. You can read more about alopecia on my website ( http://www.alexandroff.org.uk).
