Recent hair loss

Is there a reason for hair loss around the forehead and above the ears? This has happened in the last 3 months and there is no sign of new hair growth in this region.

Could it be the result of hair colour? I am 73 and haven’t had cancer treatment. I have also lost my eyebrows and eye lashes.

Is there a remedy available? I am currently buying Avon products, shampoo and conditioner to avoid the hair loss.

Dear Ann,

Thank you for your question. There are a couple of possibilities such as alopecia areata and frontal fibrosing alopecia. It would be helpful to see your dermatologist to make a correct diagnosis.
