Guttate Psoriasis

Hello

I have guttate psoriasis all over my
body. I have been told if I drink Kefir
it should heal my gut and help the psoriasis. Do you know if this will be beneficial for me, is there a link between the two?
At the moment I am using Dovabet, Dermol and Epimax for my skin.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your question. Although kefir is believed to be very healthy I am afraid there is no data that it helps to treat psoriasis.

Dovobet is a good treatment but there is now an updated version available called Enstilar foam. It is easier to apply and it works faster and better. Your dermatologist or GP should be able to prescribe it. If it is of interest there is more information about psoriasis treatment on my website: https://www.alexandroff.org.uk

I hope this is helpful.

Hello,

I can vouch for Dr. Alexandroff's advice on Enstilar. It works much better than Dovobet despite having the same ingredients. You do need to be careful as to how much you use since it can become toxic if used to excess. Light treatment (phototherapy) can be very effective if your psoriasis is more widespread.

Best wishes,

Sree
