Hidradenitis Suppurativa

I have suffered with HS for over 5 years now, had surgery once but has came back after 18 months,
I am using products on my skin as recommended by GP or research online and also beginning to stick to plant based products for my skin.

Is there a link to other skin conditions ? I have also psoriasis and dermatitis

What other lifestyle changes are useful ?

What support is out there ? HS seems to be not as well known or supported in the UK 1 - might just be personal outlook

Re: Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hi Kirsty,

As you know, hidradenitis suppurativa is a debilitating chronic condition which can really affect your quality of life. There are, however, excellent treatments available to control the condition. You may find this information sheet helpful.

The more powerful treatments usually require a specialist so if your GP is on board, a dermatologist's input would be helpful to help improve things.

Good luck!
