Night time waking to eat

I have a history of fatigue and exhaustion and problems with low blood sugar levels. I often wake up in the middle of the night, or as I try to fall asleep my body jolts me awake and I get hunger pains and have to eat something. This usually consists of a quick sandwich/toast or a biscuit and a cup of tea. Fruit doesn't fill me up enough. The trouble is that when the blood sugar is finally stabilised I then have trouble falling back to sleep again and not sure if its linked to what I have eaten. Its a bit of a vicious cycl. I was wondering what I could eat and are oats a good option, so perhaps a quick bowl of porridge?

Re: Night time waking to eat

Porridge is a healthier choice - rather than tea and biscuits - and it's important that the size of snack is in proportion to the dip in your blood sugar levels.

It would be worth you speaking to your GP generally about your fatigue and low blood sugar levels.
