I’ve been on many Biologics such as Stelara, Humira and now Skyrizi for Psoriasis over the last 2 years and nothing is working for my facial psoriasis and ear psoriasis (Skyrizi has cleared my entire body and scalp though) I’ve tried Elidel and Protopic which aren’t effective. My ears and face are severely effected at the moment. What advice can you give me please? Thanks

I am so sorry to hear about your psoriasis affecting your face! Sometimes it can be difficult to treat I am afraid. It is great that Skyrizi cleared your body and scalp.
Have you tried Daktacort ointment twice daily on your face while using Skyrizi?

Thank you for your question, I am pleased your skin has cleared with Skyrizi however it is disappointing that your facial rash has not settled. It is possible that this is seborrheic dermatitis or sebo-psoriasis which can be quite tricky to treat and you have tried treatments that we often use - Elidel and Protopic.

Some patients do see benefits from changes in their diet including reduced intake of refined sugar (biscuits, cakes, sweets etc) and processed foods and ensuring plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables which are rich in anti-oxidants.

I have also seen patients improve with a 4 week trial of a dairy-free diet, however it is important to ensure you maintain Calcium intake from other sources such as non-dairy fortified milks and leafy green vegetables. Changes in your diet such as this would require supervision from your own doctor.
