psoriasis/eczema
I have plaque psoriasis and eczema and used to see a dermatologist regularly, as I have had uva, uvb and puva light therapy it initially worked but after the treatment stopped it came back in different places and the same places were worse. It has now been over 6 yrs since I last saw a dermatologist and my GP has written two expedite letters for an earlier appointment but when I phone I'm told 5 to 6 yrs ago I was on a 14 month normal waiting list.
I have not had a shower since dec 25th 3 yrs ago so in total from my neck down has not seen water or be cleaned for 39 months.
I've noticed what look like freckles appear on my shoulders and I worry that I may cause something like scabies and worry about washing/showering/bathing as I don’t know what to expect.
My questions are can I cause something like scabies from not bathing and what should I expect when I bath for the first time in 39 months as I want to but thought if I didn’t the dermatologist might see me quicker but no.
I thank you for your help, advice and support

Re: psoriasis/eczema
Hello
Thank you for your question and I am so sorry to hear about your skin condition!
To answer your question you can not get scabies from not having a bath or shower. Scabies is an infection and is passed from 1 infected person to another. You can and should have a bath or shower and you should not expect anything special even after such a long gap.
If you are interested there is some information about psoriasis and eczema and available treatments on my website.
I hope this is helpful.
With Best Wishes,
