Hi,

Is it possible to get rid of acne scars? The flat red ones and the small pitted scars? If so, how can I get rid of them.

It is possible to reduce the prominence of acne scarring. There are a range of treatments that can be used to address different types of scars. The best approach is to see a Dermatologist or Plastic surgeon with experience in treating acne scars.

There are treatment options for the types of scarring that you describe but the best place to start is by seeing a Consultant Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon with experience in treating acne scars - there are so many treatment options advertised, it can be hard to work out on your own which the best option is for you and an expert would be able to advise which treatment (or sometimes combination of treatments) works best for your particular type of acne scarring and skin types.
