My skin has broken out in the last couple of days and I'm not sure what the cause is. I haven't changed my skincare routine recently. It is not itchy but feels rough and spotty under the surface. My main concern is how to treat it without aggravating it further?

Thank you for your question. It looks like rosacea. I would suggest to see your GP or dermatologist and ask for rosacea treatment e.g. Soolantra cream.
