Acne
I suffered as a teenager with terrible acne and my daughter is now developing spots at the age of 12 nearly 13. I am wondering if better to treat with normal creams found at Boots - OR should we take my daughter to see someone who specialises in acne quickly before it might develop into something more than just a few spots? I don't want to make a fuss or alarm my daughter but I really don't want her to have to go through the horrible experience I had as a child. Any advice very welcome. Thank you.

Re: Acne
Dear Josie,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest you would take your daughter to see your GP or dermatologist to treat her acne. There is a number of treatments available on prescription from Epiduo and Duac gels, oral antibiotics to Roacutane.
I hope this is helpful.
Kind regards.
