We all know that smoking is ‘bad’. We’re fed the message every day, through billboard adverts to warnings on cigarette packages. It’s drummed into our psyche, and though we understand the intent behind it, the addiction is such that the health issues aren’t considered until later, if even then. Until the physical effects of our actions become apparent, there’s no real way of visualising what is being done to the lungs.
