Fatigue/low energy

55yr old male , tired all the time ,lethargic, and although have low mood, several anti depressants have given no improvement. I believe the low mood is due to lack of energy / unable to function properly

Had a testosterone test which is within range, but only just over the lower limit.

Is this connected and is there anything I should be doing about it ? Thank you, C.G.

Re: Fatigue/low energy

Yes, low testosterone could be linked to your problems, but hopefully, your GP would be addressing this issue if they thought it was clinically relevant. Low mood and a feeling of fatigue often go hand in hand. It could be that your medications are actually contributing to, rather than helping solve, your problems and so it is worth checking with your GP concerning their possible side effects. It is also possible that you may be suffering from an undiagnosed sleep problem, such as snoring, sleep apnoea, that you are unaware of but may potentially be disturbing your sleep thus leading to your daytime complaints. Therefore it is again worth checking with your GP.
