I have recently been referred to a scleroderma clinic by my gynaecologist. What is the difference between scleroderma and lichen? (my initial diagnosis by a lichen s specialist was over 20 years ago)

Lichen sclerosus is thought to be a form of localised scleroderma (both affecting connective tissue) without any of the other internal problems. LS of the skin doesn't lead to scleroderma but the two conditions can co-exist.
