Steroids

We get this question a lot in our support group so would be good to have clear information.
The steroids leaflet says not to use on broken skin so
Can you put steroids on sores, tears , broken skin and how long after a biopsy can you use your steroids and emollients.

Re: Steroids

I advise women with LS to avoid reading the leaflet for exactly the reasons you say. LS and other skin condition break the surface of the skin and the skin will not heal until the correct topical steroid therapy is applied. If you have had a biopsy I advise using your emollients twice daily and using it to wash the skin. It is OK to restart your topical steroid after 1 week.
