Bowel and bladder conditions can be debilitating. Whether it’s having trouble going or finding it difficult to carry out daily tasks without worrying about the nearest loo, conditions down there are countless and confusing.

Stomas - fluid leaking

I have two stomas. A Urostomy and A high output one, officially a colostomy but I have 1.2 m of small bowel only. I have a clear liquid which constantly leaks from my vagina so I have to wear pads as well as having two bags. Any idea what this fluid is and where it comes from? (Bobbie)

Re: Stomas - fluid leaking

Sorry for the delay in reply. If you have fluid leaking vaginally then this requires investigation - i would usually do a CT scan to see if we can identify the source and before that we can send a sample of the fluid for testing to see if it is urine. I am limited in terms of what i can advise given the information recieved but it sound like your GP needs to send you to a urologist - hope helpful.
