Do women need more sleep than men?
Is it true women need more sleep than men? If yes, why is that the case? and how much sleep should women be getting? Thanks (Sarah)

There has been research to suggest women need more sleep than men but generally most healthy adults - whether male or female - need around 7-9 hours of sleep per night. However, some people need slightly less and some need slightly more.
Sleep is highly individual and one size doesn't fit all. The best way to determine if you're getting enough sleep is to look at how you feel the next day. If you wake feeling refreshed and can function, then chances are you're sleeping just fine.
