Chickenpox

Both of my kids had chickenpox at the same time last year (thank goodness!), one has no scarring or anything and completely clear but the other child has a few marks and one particularly on their face, what would you advise – as I am hoping that she is young enough for it to be sorted maybe? Re: Chickenpox

Sorry to hear about the Chickenpox. Depending on the type of scar, treatment may be possible. If the scar is raised (known as Hypertrophic) or raised and even growing (known as Keloid) then Steroids in the form of tape or injections may help. Occasionally, the scar can be removed surgically then treated with a combination of Steroid and silicone. Deep scars may fill out in time so that the appearance is less noticeable. Sunscreen will also help the appearance of scars especially if they are red.
