Steroid - how long does it take to sink into the skin?

Is it necessary to use the steroid overnight so it gets a long time to sink in to the skin? Or is it ok to apply the steroid during the day?

Usually the topical steroid is applied once daily. It can be at any time although night time application is generally recommend so that it is less likely to be rubbed off by clothes or toilet roll.

If you do apply it in the day time, please remember it is best to have a gap between applying your steroid and your moisturiser (around 20-30 minutes).
