Another thing you can do is consume fewer fruits and more vegetables (with exceptions to avocados and tomatoes). Fruits contain sugars such as Fructose which (I think, if there are any nutritionists reading this then please tell me if I'm wrong) is broken down into glycerol phosphate which then results in more fat gain.
Also, stick to brown carbs and don't drink calories.
