What Do People Most Often Use CBD Oil For?

In a survey of Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research, almost 62 percent of CBD users reported using it to treat a medical condition, the top three being pain, anxiety, and depression.
Pain
Everyone has a cell-signaling system known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Some researchers think that CBD interacts with a core component of the ECS endocannabinoid receptors in your brain and immune system.
Receptors are tiny proteins attached to your cells. They receive signals, mostly chemical ones, from different stimuli and help your cells respond.
This response creates anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects that help with pain management. This means that CBD oil and other products may benefit people with chronic pain, such as chronic back pain.
Anxiety
For generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), research says that CBD has been shown to reduce stress in animals such as rats.
Study subjects were observed as having lower behavioral signs of anxiety. Their physiological symptoms of anxiety, such as increased heart rate, also improved.
While there haven’t been any large-scale clinical trials testing CBD oil as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, or phobias, a study in January 2019 showed promising results.
During this study, 72 adults in a psychiatric clinic were given CBD oil capsules once daily. Most received 25 milligrams (mg) of CBD with a few receiving doses as high as 175 mg. Within the first month, more than 79 percent of the patients reported feeling calmer, and they continued to feel calmer for the duration of the study.
Depression
In all of our brains, the endocannabinoid system is in close communication with other parts of your brain and plays a large role in regulating your mental health and other biological processes.
When CBD’s are present in your bloodstream, they bind to neurological receptors in your very own endocannabinoid system and prevent the spread of biochemicals linked to depression.

Re: What Do People Most Often Use CBD Oil For?

Hi cbdarmour,

As with any new product, there is always a lot of good and bad information out there. There is also a lot of 'hype' particularly regarding claims in using CBD oil to treat a number of conditions.

We thank you for the information supplied but would always ask that you check out the latest guidance from a reliable source of information; https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/medical-cannabis/ or here; https://www.nice.org.uk/news/article/ni ... l-products
