Accept you suffer anxiety and don't feel you MUST defeat it. It is good to deal with fear - and even face our fears - but don't be someone you're not. If you are scared of heights or spiders, then don't fight it. Just accept you're scared of heights or spiders. You're NOT a coward or anything for having such anxiety/fears: everyone has their fears. And no one is immune to fear: so don't believe anyone who tells you they're fearless. Unless they are superman or superwoman, they also have their fears.
