my friend is use to self harm but never got help. he stopped now but the marks are still visible he says they hurt and its been over a year, they are bumpy and still red. he gets depressed looking at them and thinking back to the past. he is too scared to go to the doctor just in case his family is informed or it stays on his record. also he think doctor cant help and the only way is surgery which he doesnt have the money for. i want to help him but idk how to

I am get shocked after reading your thread. Your friend should be aware about his condition. Actually, life is not a place to sacrifice all the time, we should be careful about us.
