Mythomania/compulsive lying

Hi there,

I'm just after pointing in the right direction really and some advice on this.
Bit of background;

My current partner had an issue with compulsive lying. The lies can range from minor to much more major lies that cause distress and pain to everyone that's around her & doesn't seem to phase her in the slightest. Now from carrying out my own research, the term for this is 'Mythomania' but I can not find much information on where to go for help. I understand that she also has to admit she has to admit and realise that she has an issue and accept any help that is given to her.

I'm only doing this for her now as I've come as far as I can with it, I've tried to support her to stop this but I feel there's something deeper to it that without professional help, will never be resolved.

Is there any help available on the NHS, would it require private therapy?

Thanks for any advice and help in advance.

Ryan
