i found writing all of it down helped me and also trying to find a purpose that I could fill my days achieving or a hobby that takes up a lot of time too. At the beginning it's sort of distraction but after a while (for me anyway) it feels like its replaced the old thing

The best tip I've got to share to reduce depression and anxiety in the long run is seeking professional help. Whether it is a psychiatrist or a psychologist. But it really does help and that is my number one tip, if i'm being honest.
Would 100% recommend to anyone feeling anxious or depressed.

I found setting up your daily goals to accomplish, doing what you love and enjoy, spending time with your loved ones, exercise, and a healthy diet helps to overcome depression and anxiety.

I hope it helps you.

the first thing you have to do is to avoid doing anything that would make you be in a bad mood. So that you would eventually in a happy mode. The mood can also control your day.

I think depression and anxiety can be an emotional problem, as well as a physical one. I think depression is due to the chemicals in the brain. Now, I don't know that for sure, BUT it is a possibility. I also think depression and anxiety can stem from childhood. I know there are many people who suffer these conditions. Because it is partly an emotional condition, it can stint motivation. Which - in turn - affects the ability to exercise and lift the mood.

In severe cases of depression and anxiety, professional help is essential. While it is good advice to try to lift the mood, do some exercise, have sunlight, even; proper help is vital. Because the person suffering may not be able to help themselves: even when they try they are not able to. Lying in bed in the day is something I assume a lot of people with these issues do. They just are not able to motivate themselves.

I do realize the value of all the advice, though.
