Re: Unable to sleep

When I get busy at work my sleep will be good, when there are weekends my sleep is really bad. I am trying to overcome it.

Re: Unable to sleep

Start doing meditation. Maybe a chance of improvement in sleep.

Re: Unable to sleep

I like my sleep and keep a regular night-time routine. This helps me sleep at night and keeps me sane!

Re: Unable to sleep

Avoid stimulating activities: Avoid activities that are stimulating, such as watching TV or using electronic devices, in the hour before bedtime. It can cause insomnia

Re: Unable to sleep

Well same here. But i can't sleep mostly because of thoughts, they devour me. So i don't know if that is depression or i simply think too much

Hi,

For some time i have been having problems sleeping. The other day i only got 3 hours sleep and i usually only function when i have had a least 8!

I go through phases of not sleeping well then i will have a couple of nights of good sleep then another rubbish night.

My problem seems to be that if i haven't got to sleep in a certain time then i won't for ages. I am a worrier and that doesn't help but i have tried meditation, reading, putting the tv on low, getting up and doing something, lavender sleep spray and bach remedies but nothing seems to help.

Any advice you have please share...
It sounds tough! Since you’ve tried various things, maybe try sticking to a consistent sleep schedule same bedtime and wake time daily, even on weekends. Writing down your worries before bed can help clear your mind, and progressive muscle relaxation (tensing and relaxing each muscle) can be calming. Avoid blue light before bed; it can keep you alert. You could also try white noise or calming sounds to create a soothing sleep environment. Give these a try and be patient with yourself as you work on finding what helps most.
