Waking with stomach pain.

For the past couple of months I have been waking at about 4am with stomach pain and been unable to get back to sleep, just laying awake makes me anxious. Mid morning and throughout the day all is well.
I do have a history of being anxious and way back in my 30's [now 82] suffered with 7 years of depression but nothing since.
Any ideas or suggestions how I can overcome this.
Thank you.

I've had stomach pain: so I know the feeling.

I just lie in my bed in a comfortable position so the muscles don't retract too much. I also watch what I am eating, so any digestive issues are dealt with.

Your stomach pain won't go, but you can ease the pain by lying there curled up and reducing the stress on your stomach muscles.

Waking up with stomach pain can be indicative of various underlying causes, such as indigestion, gastritis, or even stress, and it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

This is a concise and accurate post. I'd follow this advice.
