What is hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, commonly known as piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in the walls of the rectum and anus. They are a very common issue amongst people of all ages and can be quite painful and uncomfortable. Hemorrhoids can be caused by a number of factors, including constipation, straining during bowel movements, pregnancy, and a low-fiber diet. Symptoms of hemorrhoids can include itching, burning, and bleeding. In severe cases, they can also cause pain and discomfort.

Treatment for hemorrhoids typically includes a combination of lifestyle changes and medical interventions. Lifestyle changes can include increasing your fiber intake, drinking more water, and avoiding straining during bowel movements. Medical interventions may include creams, ointments, and suppositories to help reduce symptoms, as well as in-office procedures such as sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation, and infrared coagulation. In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to remove the hemorrhoid.

It is important to visit a doctor there are many general surgeons in karachi if you experience any of the symptoms of hemorrhoids, as proper diagnosis and treatment is key to managing them. Your doctor will be able to recommend the best course of action for your particular situation.
