effect on calcium levels and using other medications

Does an underactive thyroid or the medication for it ie levothyroxine, deplete calcium levels? Is it advisable to take calcium supplements?
Also should I take blood pressure medication at a different time of day from the thyroxine? I have been advised to take it first thing in the morning and the same applies to thyroxine but do they interfere with each other?

Hypothyroidism and leothyroxine do not have a substantial impact on calcium. I see no reason for taking calcium tablets unless you have been specifically advised by your doctor, and if so there will have been a reason. Vitamin D deficiency is a common problem in teh UK, which is unrelated to the thyroid, but can affect calcium levels if severe. We get our vitamin D from exposure to sun and fish such as salmon or mackerel.

Blood pressure tablets do not interact with thyroxine and can be taken together.
