goiter will it ever go

Hi have a smooth goiter that is like a band around my neck have had it for about 4 years looking back over old photos diagnosed hypothyroid a year ago and had a scan and told it was ok on Eltroxin 100 micrograms . My goiter has gone down a little but will it ever go away completely ?

Hi Cazz

If you are overactive and have a goitre, as your thyroid levels normalize your goitre may reduce in size.
As you are under active, your goitre is likely to be here to stay. Surgery may be your only option.
