Re: Guttate Psoriasis?

It's hard to see very well in those pics, but I have suffered guttate in the past and my daughter is currently about 80% covered in guttate and plaque - she started with guttate.

To me, it doesn't look quite like guttate as I know it. My experience of guttate is pinky/red spots about 5mm to 1cm across sometimes larger or smaller of course. I wouldn't like to say for sure yes or no. I think guttate can start anywhere.

Hope you get some answers x

Re: Guttate Psoriasis?

I've had guttate psoriasis badly twice and now I get a few small spots randomly over my body. However I wish I knew what reason or what might trigger the small spots to appear. Warbie - do you find that you have small spots reoccuring as well or do you just get a massive break out all over your body? When I had my massive break outs - it was over every inch of my body - and like you had small spots and some absolutely huge spots. I also found that after it had subsided after having uvb treatment I was left with huge bruises particularly on my legs which took about a year to disappear. Interested to know if others have had the same experience etc....

Re: Guttate Psoriasis?

Hi I suffer from guttate psoriasis. For about 17 years now. As a child I too had frequent throat infections and used loads of antibiotics. It's strange but might be a link here between psoriasis/antibiotics. Oh yeah, have recently read a study about the danger of using antibiotics for infants (up-to 2 years though). One of possible risk listed is developing eczema... Well, psoriasis/ eczema ....who knows

BTW.Rhm, did it clear up?
