underactive thyroid and calcium= for the experts
I would like to know whether an underactive thyroid or the medication - levothyroxine - depletes calcium levels and whether I need to take supplements to avoid this?
Secondly as I also have high blood pressure and take medication for it - do I need to take the medication at a different time from the levothyroxine in case they affect each other.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

No there should be no problem with calcium levels when you are taking thyroxine.
The tablets for hypertension do not interfere with thyroxine absorption so there is no need to take them at different times
