Finding out new allergies all the time.
Hello,
I’m a 20 year old Nursing Student and carry an Epi-pen for my nut allergy.
I am writing to you because I seem to be finding out new allergies/intolerances all the time. I now have to avoid- Nuts, pineapple, Latex, trimethoprim, some eye drops, orange squash, eggs, milk, Tomato’s, some washing powders, and Lignocaine. I also found out that I am extremely sensitive to adrenaline after being given it at the dentist and ending up in A&E fitting every 5 minutes and having severe pain in my chest.
As I’m sure you can understand I am very nervous about my allergies and was wandering if you think that allergy testing could be a good idea and would it be able to tell me about other foods I may be sensitive to so that I can avoid having any form or allergy attack? And if you think it is a good idea how do I go about getting the testing done?
Many Thanks
Chloe Farrrington

if you are trying to avoid so many things, you sould be getting a proper reassessment from a specialist so the correct testing can be arranged. Ask your GP for a referral.
