Hi,

i have cysts on my cervix. one of them is the size of a 5pence and i will be referred to gyno. i would jsut like abit of piece of mind before i go what to expect and if anything will be done on it

Nabothian cysts of the cervix are quite common. They are basically a collection of mucus uncer the skin covering the cervix and usually don't need any treatment at all. If large, they can simply be "punctured" in the clinic to allow the mucus to be released. Other types of cyst, eg due to endometriosis are less common. The gynaecologist will be able to explain and advise further.
