Extra vaginal hole after childbirth

Extra vaginal hole after childbirth
I gave birth to my first child 7 months ago. During labour, I tore and was then cut. I had just discovered a small extra hole just below my vaginal opening which also leads to the vagina. It's just big enough to squeeze a finger through. I assume it is where I wasn't stitched properly after birth, although my stiches were examined at my 6 week postnatal checkup, where my GP said they were healing well.
It isn't painful but I feel weird knowing I have an extra hole.
I'd like to know what the options are for getting it fixed. Also, i'd like to know if you think this may cause me any problems with having children in the future.
Thanks.

It would certainly be worth being seen about this--ask your GP to refer you to a gynaecologist. This should be fixable and is unlikely to cause problems in the future.
