itchy scar after childbirth
i gave birth to my little boy in december and suffered a 2nd degree tear which was stitched up. it was quite itchy whilst healing but soon recovered. recently it has become itchy again and can be quite unbearable. can i take/use anything to soothe it??

Hi, (read post reply for dry flaking & itch)
Scar tissue can be red, lumpy and itchy & may take up to 12 months to mature,in the meantime try applying and massaging the area with an emollient/moisturiser as this will help to smooth and reduce the itch.
If you are still concerned i suggest that you make an appointment with your GP so he can examine you to rule out other vulval conditions.
