No more restless legs!

After I self-inoculated with a small number of helminths to treat overwhelming food allergies and intolerance, I was utterly gobsmacked when my restless leg syndrome suddenly eased at 6 weeks after inoculation, and then disappeared completely at 19 weeks, never to be felt again. I had not expected this at all, but, if RLS is an autoimmune condition, my experience would make sense, as autoimmunity (and allergy) is what helminthic therapy is primarily effective for.

Re: No more restless legs!

Hi Ellson

By coincidence, I'm reading your post while on my exercise bike! I agree about the importance of exercise but, before I started helminthic therapy, I was so ill that I couldn't do any exercise at all. Not only has this therapy got rid of my RLS completely, but it's also given me SO much energy that I can now exercise again!

Best - John

Hi Jan

You can read the basics about helminthic therapy.

And here are a couple of reports by someone else who found their RLS disappeared after starting helminthic therapy to treat other conditions.

"... my restless leg syndrome is completely gone..."

"Since going on hookworms a year and a half ago, the irritability (and also the restless leg syndrome) have gone away."

Re: No more restless legs!

Hi meredithclark

I tried leg exercises, along with a host of other treatments, but nothing ever worked as well as helminthic therapy. I've now been completely RLS-free for the last 4 years, except for a few weeks when I lost my helminths due to a severe bout of diarrhoea.

My latest update is here:

And the basics of helminthic therapy are explained here:

Re: No more restless legs!

restless legs syndrome can be also a symptome of heart failure in women. in case the disease affects right part of the heart muscle the muscle can't pump the blood that is without oxygen and should leave the body. this blood therefore stays in your leg and you can see the swelling and the restless legs. you can read more about it in the article

Re: No more restless legs!

Hi leeon123

Do you have any substantive evidence for the suggestion that Restless Leg Syndrome is a symptom of heart failure in women? RLS is not mentioned in the article you linked to.

It may actually be the case that RLS is a cause of cardiovascular disease, rather than the other way around.

People with RLS are twice as likely to have a stroke or heart disease compared to people without RLS, and the risk is greatest in those with the most frequent and severe symptoms.

This is another reason why I'm so pleased that I discovered helminthic therapy (see my earlier posts, above). Not only have I been free from the dreadful symptoms of RLS for the past 5 years, but the absence of these symptoms may indicate that this treatment could also be preventing the development of cardiovascular disease!

Re: No more restless legs!

Your restless leg symdrome is caused by tight muscles in your lower back. Those muscles can press onto the nerves going to your legs to cause the problems you are having. The pressure points change when you lay down to cause the problems to happen then and not while you are upright. To get rid of the problem you have to free up your back muscles so they can't press into the nerves any more and here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
