Men's sexual health

Hi there,

I came across this resource called trted that has lots of good content on sexual health for men. However, I have read some stuff about erectile dysfunction and cardiovascular disease. I'm a male - getting slightly older >30 YO, and I think I have ED. I don't want it to be a sign of heart problems, but I also don't feel comfortable talking to my doctor. Anybody have any tips on how to bring this up?

Hi
First of all remember that there are plenty of other people in the same position as you are, and don't stress yourself out with self diagnosis as this can exaggerate the problems. The only way to get definitive answers will be to find a health care professional you feel you can talk to - this is always what we would recommend.
In the mean time feel free to read some articles here about it:

And the NHS website also has some useful tips:

Your doctor knows all about it: so you don't need to feel uncomfortable. You're not alone with this: there is nothing you need to be embarrassed about. If the worst comes to the worst, you can book an appointment with a male doctor.

Book that appointment.

It's understandable to feel uneasy about discussing sensitive topics like erectile dysfunction with your doctor, but it's important to prioritize your health. You may want to consider finding a doctor you feel more comfortable with, or even seeking out a specialist in sexual health. Additionally, discussing any underlying medical conditions, such as Hypothyroid sarasota, with your doctor may also be helpful in addressing your ED. Remember, seeking medical advice and treatment can lead to improved sexual health and overall well-being.
