Type 1 and Crohn's disease
Hi,
I am a type 1 diabetic and there is Crohn's disease in my family (brother, father, cousin). I often suffer with IBS and am really concerned that I will sooner or later get Crohn's. Although there is probably no definite link between IBS and Crohn's, it does worry me.
Are there any Type 1's with Crohn's out there who could talk to me about how they live day to day with it?
From talking to and living with family members who have Crohn's, they really struggle to eat sometimes and often lose/gain weight rapidly. This would really affect their blood levels and required insulin amounts if they were Type 1 as well.
I am really interested in how other people manage their conditions and would appreciate any feedback.

ps...my brother, father and cousin all swear by drinking Aloe Vera juice when they are out of an attack to support their overall intestinal health.
