Shop bought ovulation tests
Hi there. I am 40 years old and have been trying to get pregnant for the last year. I've been using shop bought ovulation predictor tests and having sex on the days that it says i am ovulating. Its very frustrating that nothing is happening yet. I dont understand why I cannot get pregnant if I am ovulating??
I've had testing for endometriosis and got the all clear... I really dont know what to do now..would like some solid advice please.

Hi - thanks for your post. Not sure if you are aware but we have an online clinic on fertility & contraception happening from tomorrow for a week - we will have a panel of medical experts available to answer your questions. So, I've moved your post into our clinic so you can obtain help for one of our experts.

Hi,
Thanks for posting. I sense your frustration. At Foresight, we have been working for over 30 years with individuals and couples who are experiencing 'non-specific' infertility - where apparently 'everything is fine' - yet no baby.
We are experts in natural preconception care and have supported thousands of couples over the years to achieve their dream of having children - sometimes after years of trying naturally and sometimes after repeated attempts at IVF or alongside IVF treatment.
The Foresight approach addresses diet and lifestyle and importantly, nutritional deficiency and toxicity. A commitment to important lifestyle changes such as giving up smoking and drinking alcohol and following a healthy, nutritional diet - in BOTH partners and eliminating toxicity, geopathic and electromagnetic stress and working with complementary therapies, are all key factors in our success rates.
We would encourage you to get in touch and speak with one of our practitioners - you are not alone!

Re: Shop bought ovulation tests
It's not just a matter of ovulation (quantity) but of the quality of the egg at 40. I would seek a referall for treatment and investigation as time is of the essence for you.

Hi I would agree completely with the previous comment, as at the age of 40 yrs , time is of the essence her. The store of eggs in the ovaries and Success rates of any fertility treatment that may be offered will decline after the age of 40. Please do see a fertility specialist for advice. BW
