Children and Eczema

We went through much of what everyone else is going through, the infections, the bloody sheets, no sleep, constant itching, it was HORRIBLE but there is hope.

Once we started building up the immune system, removing things harmful to the immune system, eating healthier and staying away from caustic chemicals, we had an over night change. My daughter has been healthy for almost 6 years now.

My grandson just turned a year old and is covered from head to toe with eczema. His mom just told me they are referring him to a clinic in Denver, Co. Has anyone heard of or had any dealings with a clinic there? He has been on Prednisone, used Elidel, special diet, double rinsing clothes when washing and nothing seems to work for any length of time. Willing to try just about anything.

Hi, you mention double rinsing clothes. Are you using a non biological washing powder and no fabric conditioner? Has your grand son tried wet wrapping or the Dermasilk suits, both my children switch between these.

I have not heard of the clinic in Colorado but I did take our daughter to 9 different doctors including a couple of specialists. It didn't really help though.

I did receive an elimination diet that helped us find food triggers that made the excema worse. We also switched our household to safer products that do not harm the immune system and we added in some excellent supplements that helped boost her immune system. She had suffered with excema from about 3 weeks old to around 3 years old when we quit listening to the doctor and started our own research. She has been a completely different child now that she doesn't itch and scratch. It's been a wonderful blessing to have her well.

There is hope. I truly believe this can be overcome and I wouldn't have believed it had I not watched it happen before my eyes.
