removing mik from diet - Any improvement

My 2 year old daughter has severe atopic ezcema. We worked out that she was allergic to eggs a while ago so removed them from her diet but the ezcema hasn't got any better.
Recently we had a RAST test which confirmed that she has an allergy to eggs and cows milk.
We have just started her on hydrolyzed milk as a substitute.
Has anyone else tried this and did you see a difference. If so, how long did it take.?
The dermatologist said it worth a try but he wasn't hopeful that we would see an improvement.

Hi bertie again :)

I think hydrolysed milk helped if there's a milk allergy... the other possibility is since your daughter is already 2 year old, to move onto nutrition from solid food. My daughter did not have milk allergy but as she got eczema very young at 2 weeks old, the pd advised to switch to partially hydrolysed. She didn't like the taste as an infant, and from one year old, already stopped drinking milk. Sometimes she takes fresh milk or UHT milk, but her nutrition comes mostly from food.

Take care, hugs!
