Hi all,

Iv'e had the Kinetico water softner installed for a month now and I am very happy with the results all round.

I have noticed that my eczema's redness has gone down and does not itch so bad as before.

Am using less cream treatments also.

Will check back next month to let you know any further improvements!

It's not the fact that it doesn't work, it's the fact it does and doesn't work depending on who you are. It's proved to help alot of people but then it's done the complete opposite to alot of people.

Like I say alot it's really down to trial and test so hopefully this is your solution.

Not sure if this is the right place to leave my response but here goes!

I have just finished the trial of the Kinetico water softner and am very pleased with the results on my eczema, it is so much better than 3 months ago, I would love to buy a unit!

Also my skin and clothes feel much softer and am definately using less products around the home.

I can't get used to the taste of the water, that would be my only negative.

Well thank you Kinetico and Talk Health for allowing me to trial a unit.

The quality of my life os much improved indeed.

Eczema could be pretty tough to deal with and may perhaps hurt a little but the natural treatment for eczema will work miracles and you may notice that you simply may well possess a rash kind of sensation on your confront that might be really unpleasant.

I just found this site and thought I'd add my 2p.

This surprised me becasue I have found that when I live in soft water areas (Birmingham & Sheffield) my skin gets much better and so I follwed this with great interest. Further research showed that, contrary to my inital understanding, softened water (not naturally soft) doesn't remove soap residue any better than hard water. Also, the test subjects continued to drink hard water.

So if you really want to see if soft water helps, you are going to have to move somewhere that is naturally soft.

We was lucky to have done the trial. .
Yes was great at making my daughters skin soft but her eczema is caused by her allergies.
she also reacts to water and the softener did help but we have much large factors to overcome.

Personally I have found good things using softwater but my body has got used to it so the effects it gives is more of a normaility than it is an aid. As soon as I went to hard water thou the difference was saw immediately so I have to say for myself at least, softwater worked.

Thanks Markoos for sharing the link - softened water has been shown in the trial by Prof Hwel Williams that there's no difference in the skin of those children whose homes are fitted with the softener and those without. The trial is conducted independently, though a company supplied the softeners.

The results come as a surprise because eczema seems to be lower in places with softened water.

As always, parents exercise their best judgement based on available info and if it works for you, it's great! Just be careful not to try anything too risky for your family, for instance, certain TCM medicine has steroid in them..always check background of company, one that's established and conducted proper trials.
