Kenalog Injection

Hi There

I've had eczema for as long as I can remember and although not severely I do get really bad flares ups now and then. For the last 3 or 4 years when I have went on holiday my skin has flared up to an almost unbearable level within the first 2-3 days all over my body. My doctor has recommended this year I get a kenalog injection before I go to try and counter this, however I've read a few horror stories about this on various online sites. Has anyone ever had this injection and does it work or should I avoid it?

Thanks

Re: Kenalog Injection

Oh dear.. I've never heard of this injection but saw online it's not to be used on face, near your eyes or mouth, or on body areas where you have skin folds or thin skin. I'm wondering if it'd help to find out your allergies and likely avoid those countries with say the pollen (if tested positive) that you're allergic to? Some eczema patients actually find holiday beneficial for eczema, likely due to reduced stress and a little sun. Hope you'd find somewhere that suitable for your skin this hols, take care!
