Hard Water and Soft water for Eczema

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this. I have had eczema for the past 2 years and it is causing me so many problems, I've had enough of it. It's painful, sore, irritating and I just want to rip my skin off sometimes. Someone recently mentioned to me about the effects hard water has on your skin. I live in an area where hard water is rated as very high and someone said that this could be having an impact on my skin. After going abroad on holiday for 2 weeks my skin was so much better, the best it's been since I've had it but as soon as I returned home it's all back and even worse than before.
Has anyone had any experiences with hard water and improvements with softer water as I was looking at possibly getting soft water installed into my house as I'm at a lost as to what else to do now and thought it must be worth a try.
Thank you

Re: Hard Water and Soft water for Eczema

Could be worth a try - although studies conducted didn't show significant differences between soft and hard water, many atopic dermatitis patients continue to report that their skin improved with the switch.. take care!
