Abnormal liver results

Hiya, I'm new here, my 9 year old son has been on methotrexate for about 9 months, his latest bloodtest revealed abnormal liver results, consultant rang and said to not give him his next dose and to come see her? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry to hear that.. no experience with methotrexate but its side effects do affect liver and that's why regular blood and liver tests are prescribed to monitor the side effects. I didn't see any comment on liver tests in a post that I wrote years ago on this but I do think it is important to ask whatever questions you have in the next appointment, especially on what are the appropriate next line of treatment and what are the likely success rates given that methotrexate didn't work well.. hope it all works out for you, take care ya
