Need to know if TRT can cause heart disease

Hi,

I was diagnosed with low Tes levels after having severe fatigue and mood swings combined with ED and low libido. Now, I am under the Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).

I have a doubt to clarify. I am 5 months into the therapy. I came across an article about TRT and its link to heart diseases. The article accuses the pharmaceutical companies to trick the doctors to prescribing them.

I would like to know if this is a valid information. Has it been proven that TRT can cause heart attacks or strokes? If so, what should I do?

Thanks!

I have only just come across this old post but thought I'd respond. I too was on testosterone replacement therapy, applying testogel daily. Before going on it, for a low libido, I looked thoroughly into all available research on the pros and cons and it seemed some of the medical profession who were against it were prejudiced for no good reason other than they didnt like the idea of men getting a boost to their libido. Perhaps there might need to be some extra caution prescribing it to men who have pre-existing heart problems but otherwise I dont think there is cause for concern provided the patient is under the care of a physician and undergoes regular consultations and blood tests.
