I have something similar, but not so badly. I find using certain cleaning products cause it to flare up on my hands and give me whetlow. It is itchy sometimes, too. I have seen the nurse and use a specialized cream. The cream does help. I also help myself by wearing white cotton gloves beneath rubber gloves when doing the cleaning. I also wash my hands thoroughly afterwards.

The right cream will soften your skin and reduce the itching. But you'll need the nurse to prescribe you a skin cream. You could also wear white cotton gloves when in bed: to stop you stratching your hands. But I do think you're allergic to some sort of chemical. That is just a guess, but is worth considering.

Using non-irritating soap to wash your hands is also vital.

There’s no known cure for eczema, it is a chronic condition that requires careful avoidance of triggers to help prevent flare-ups.
