Bipolar Disorder Category

Hi,
I am new here and noticed that while there is a "Depression" category
here, there is however no "Bipolar Disorder" category, which is often
a problem of manias, as myself who is bipolar 1 .

This is just an observation of mine but can be taken as advice if your goal
is to attract the mentally ill, then we bipolar' should be included lol. :-) :D

Often bipolar consists of manic episodes, as in my case, though I have had
a 2 1/2 year depression once, and is worth considering as a category in itself.

Many of us bipolar 1 people go through terrible manic episodes, not just depressive
ones, and need to talk about it as well. So please consider adding a "Bipolar Disorder"
category in the future, thanks.

Angel :)

Re: Bipolar Disorder Category

Hello and thank you for posting and for your suggestion. In our general member forums we do have a mental health forum and within that a sub-forum on bipolar - viewforum.php?f=169

However, we will create a sub-category for bipolar on this clinic as it sounds like it is needed.

Re: Bipolar Disorder Category

I thought we were a bit 'lumped in' with the depression category too. Glad to hear you'll consider us as a seperate category.
To be fair, it isn't only BP 1 mania that's a problem. BP 2 hypomania can have pretty devastating consequences too.
