Facial eczema

Hi. I'm a 21 year old female and have developed eczema around the contours of my cheek, forehead and smile line area. I don't know how to describe it but I dont even need to touch it, those places (smile line area in paticular) start weeping a little bit. It has become so apparant on my face that im sick of the questions and more importantly Im losing self confidence, i dont look people in the eye nor go out unnecessarily. Its affecting my job too as i work in a hospital. I just want to stop the weeping. I use aloe vera face wash which helps. But every other i get weepy/red skin. Help.

Re: Facial eczema

Hello shaks_akht and thank you for posting in the forum.

I am sorry to hear about your facial eczema. It sounds painful and I can understand you must feel really self-conscious. You should make an appointment to see your doctor, particularly as you may need a topical cream to use after you've washed your face.

You may also be interested in our Dry Skin Patient Support Programme - it covers different dry skin conditions such as eczema so might be helpful for you. It's free to join and you can find out more about it here - http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/psp/mydryskin.php

Hope this helps a little.
