Flare up becoming pregnant?

I have recently had a severe flare up of my eczema & Eumovate did not touch the surface (which normally does help) however my GP gave me a test to do and I have found out I am in the early stages of being pregnant. Has anyone else found they have had massive flare up becoming pregnant? I can't take anti histamines which is a pain, really struggling with the flare up & desperate!

Re: Flare up becoming pregnant?

Congrats on your pregnancy and I have had mild hand eczema after pregnancy (but that could be due to all the bottle washing!). I think you can speak to your gynae and check which prescriptions (topical and oral) are safe to use. Hormonal changes may trigger eczema but I'm not sure what is the safe way to treat it for pregnancy, other than for now, to keep your skin moisturized.

Take care dear,
